Two of the most exciting releases for 2012 in top-of-the-line strollers are the redesigned UPPAbaby Vista and the new UPPAbaby Cruz. Both strollers have been extremely popular since their release, and we’re sure that the new updates have made them more appealing to moms and dads who are on the go.
We receive a lot of questions about the differences between the two models so we thought we’d take a few moments to explain what features the two designs have in common as well as where they differ.
In general, the UPPAbaby Cruz can be thought of as the UPPAbaby Vista’s little sibling. The Cruz is identical to the Vista in many aspects, but was designed to be a lightweight travel stroller that is a sturdier, more comfortable alternative to umbrella strollers.
For a full comparison of the features in the UPPAbaby Cruz and the UPPAbaby Vista, we’ve included the following lists:Similarities:• Can be used from birth through 50 pounds with infant insert
• Full-sized reversible seats are the same size in both models and allow Baby to look at you or take in the world• One-step folding system, so that you can close the stroller with just one step
• Oversized sun canopy with SPF 50 UV protection
• Adjustable canopy to give extra space to older children
• Telescoping handlebar to adjust to the height of the pusher
• Up to 180-degree seat recline
• Oversized storage basket
• Accessories include rain cover and sun cover
Differences:
• The Vista comes with a bassinet, while both the Cruz and the Vista have optional car seat adapter accessory with styles available for Peg Perego, Chicco, Graco and Maxi-Cosi car seats
• Cruz is just 21″ wide, roughly 2.5″ narrower than the Vista, which makes it easier to fit through tight spaces
• Cruz has smaller wheels to make the design even more compact than the Vista, but the Cruz does feature a specialized suspension system, so that it rides more smoothly than umbrella strollers despite the decreased wheel size.

Hi, I was wondering if I can attach the bassinet from the uppa baby vista stroller into the uppa baby cruz frame. Are the frames the same? Also, I have a car seat attachment for the maxi cosi that I used with my uppa baby vista, would that same car seat attachment fit into the uppa baby cruz frame?
If you could email me back, I am looking into buying the stroller asap. thank you
Carla.
The Cruz and the Vista frames are different. The UPPAbaby Vista bassinet will not fit onto the Cruz and each stroller has its own carseat adapter as well. Thank you for your inquiry! Happy Strolling.
Hello,
I was just wondering if the uppa baby cruz would soon be coming out with a rumble seat to convert it to a double stroller.
Thanks.
Hi Elizabeth,
We get that question all the time! Unfortunately at this time UPPAbaby does not have any plans to introduce a rumble seat to convert the Cruz into a double stroller. Currently only the Vista offers this option and is one of the features/benefits that sets the two strollers apart. Did you know that UPPAbaby has just released their new snack tray and bumper bar for the Cruz? You should check it out!

Happy Strolling!
Hi. I have still not decided between the cruz and vista. I see the vista everywhere around the beach community i live in. Do you feel that the bigger wheels and suspension on the vista makes for a better ride that is better for neighborhood long walks. The stroller would be used for daily walks down to the beach strand and back (about 2 miles) side walk and streets are the terrain. thanks
Hi Sydney,
Thanks for your question! If side walks and streets are the main terrain then both the Cruz and Vista would be great choices but do keep in mind, the larger and thicker the stroller wheel, the smoother the ride. You will however, get better results with the Vista wheels if you go over a lot of cracks. Additionally, daily walks for 2 miles is quite a bit per week so I would lean more toward the Vista due to it’s all terrain wheels. You will probably get more longevity out of the Vista wheels vs. the Cruz. I hope this helps! Feel free to call us anytime for additional questions and special monthly promotions! 813-475-6954

Hi May,
I hope you are staying warm in Montreal these days! My choice for you would be the Uppa Baby Vista. The larger wheels and frame will out perform the Cruz in rougher terrain including snow and ice. Feel free to give us a call anytime for an in depth stroller consultation, we are here to help! 813-475-6954
Hi, I have a question, I have the uppababy cruz with an adapter for the peg perego car seat, and now I want to use a bassinet with it, could I use a peg perego bassinet? or what kind of bassinet can I use with my stroller. Thank you in advanced for your help

Thank you so much for your inquiry. I have great news for you – UPPAbaby is coming out with a new CRUZ bassinet, in black – it will be available February 1st. It is an exciting addition to this amazing stroller. Regarding the Peg Perego adapters, they will only work for the car seat. Please contact us at 877-787-6551 if you would like to pre-order the Cruz Bassinet. Happy Holidays – Kate & Jen
