Do you Cha Cha?

Okay, spending much of my life on the Internet as I do, I think I have heard about a lot but let’s face it – I have nothing on teenagers these days. . .

So my kids are off school for spring break this week and my husband and I headed up the mountain to visit my in-laws who conveniently live right in beautiful (and at the moment snowy) Lake Tahoe.  Clearly we aren’t the only ones ready to take advantage of my in-laws wonderful hospitality and prime spring skiing location.  My 18 year old niece and her boyfriend showed up for some sunny skiing as well.  We were trying to find out the weather predictions for the next day on the slopes and my niece suggested we just text Cha Cha.  Huh?

It turns out there is this easy number you can text,242242 (which spells ChaCha) or your can call 1.800.2ChaCha (1.800.224.2242) and ask any question.  They route your question to a knowledgable “guide” within their guide communities and within minutes you have answer right back atcha.  I checked out their website and they answer the questions all moms have such as “Is Target open on Easter Day?”  (They are by the way.) or “What time does (my local library) close today?”  They can also help you find that answer that is on the tip of your tongue but you just can’t recall; “What is the name of the actress Kevin Bacon is married to?” when chatting with your friends.

They even have thumbsaver codes so you can text them KDJ and they will send you a kid joke.  What a lifesaver when you are stuck in a restaurant with an antsy kid waiting for dinner to be served!

It does appear that you have to sign-up.  Not positive about this but I did sign-up to get an answer to my question on line (It had to do with the actor who plays Ryan on Brothers and Sisters if you have to know. . . )

Now I just need to convince the guides out there to text back “contact the gals at www.LetsGoStrolling.com – they’re awesome!” whenever anyone texts a question about what baby gear they need! ;-)

So what great questions did you ask and got answered?

Here’s a cute ad for ChaCha from their website:
