Okay we’ve had lots of questions about UPPAbaby’s newest addition to their stroller line – the Rumble Seat. We’re back with some answers and a great photo of the RumbleSeat in action!
The UPPAbaby RumbleSeat will be available in May 2009 and will retail for $129. The RumbleSeat will be an easy-to-install “quick slide and snap” onto the frame of any 2009 UPPAbaby Vista stroller.
Mindful of past issues with the Phil and Ted’s doubles kit, UPPAbaby assures it’s customers that the new RumbleSeat will be low enough to the ground for toddlers to independently climb in and out of it but far enough from the wheels that there should be no safety worries for little fingers.
This second seat will be lined with plush fabric similar to that on the main seat of the UPPAbaby Vista stroller and will have a similar lightweight aluminum frame as well. The RumbleSeat will even have a two-position footrest so that toddlers will have a place for their feet without losing basket space.
The RumbleSeat can be used with the 2009 UPPAbaby Vista stroller in 3 configurations. You can use the RumbleSeat with a carseat adaptor and carseat for the newborn, you can use the RumbleSeat facing the parents while a baby can be in the main seat fully reclined facing foward, or lastly, you can use the RumbleSeat facing the parents and a child in the main seat fully upright facing the parents as well.
3 big cheers to UPPAbaby for a truly innovative product that meets the needs of growing families by adding immense value to the stroller they already have. And at an affordable price as well. In this economy, it will reassure many parents that they can purchase a stroller they really love, and continue to use it even once baby #2 (or #3) shows up.
Let’s Go Strolling is now taking pre-orders and we anticipate selling out of this new RumbleSeat by the time our first shipment shows up!
P.S. We just heard from UPPAbaby the the RumbleSeat will have a 35 lb weight limit.
