For years parents who have loved the easy fold and versatility of the Baby Jogger City Double (Mini, Classic, or Elite) were leaning towards other models because of the lack of Baby Jogger Double carseat compatibility. Now double stroller seekers don’t have to lose out on that to choose the Baby Jogger anymore!
The Baby Jogger City Double Car Seat Adaptor is a very ingenius solution to what was a tough problem for BJ initially. Since the Baby Jogger has the super easy fold middle fold design, the rear wheel axle is sunk further under the stroller than other side-by-side double brands. This meant when Baby Jogger tried to put a carseat on one side, it made the stroller too tippy to the side when the other side’s occupant either got out or wasn’t in the stroller.
Baby Jogger designed a revolutionary sliding adaptor to combat this issue. When two children are in the stroller you slide the carseat to the frame side of the stroller. When only the carseat is on the stroller, you easily slide the carseat into position in the middle of the stroller. That way the heavy carseat weight on the front is centered on the stroller. Brilliant eh?
