Ok – in honest disclosure – we love the folks at Zo-Li. Not only do they share their home base in the Bay Area with us, but they are just such sweet and friendly people. That being said, when they told us about their latest product on the phone, I admit I was doubtful.
It’s an electric nail file for babies. I thought it sounded weird and possibly hazardous. It’s not! When we saw it at the Baby show we went “Oh (lightbulb flasing) that’s what you meant!” Clearly it is hard to describe, but it is a colorful miniature electric nail file that is super easy and is a genius answer for parents who are too scared to clip their babies nails!

There are different roughness pads from the most gentle to well. . . pretty gentle. It does have a slight whirring sound but not too loud for babies. It is actually perfect for keeping them still and attentive so you can file their miniscule baby nails. I can’t wait to get one for my daughter’s claws!
Their second product I loved just as much if not a little more. It is a sippy cup with a straw that moves. What does this mean? It means when you first give your toddler a cup with a straw, they use typical cup/sippy cup behavior and tip it upside down to get more liquid. Not too effective with the straw at the bottom however. This straw has a weighted ball at the end though so it moves to where the liquid is when you toddler tips it to their mouth. BRILLIANT! Why has no one thought of this before.
So first of all hats off to Zo-Li for their innovation! We thought we couldn’t love anything more than the on-the-go snack containers but these are definitely competitors. These two products are our first “innovations we loved for our ABC giveaway.”
How can you win these products?
We realized though that we don’t know who has babies/toddlers young enough to use them so we’re doing quick re-ask. If you’re following our ABC blog write-ups and have a newborn/young toddler who can use the nail file or straw cup post within the next 48 hours (through Tuesday midnight) and tell us which product you would want to win. On Weds morning we’ll pick the giveaway winners but you’ll have to wait until these products arrive out in the next few months!

i would love the cup! i have a 22 month old who is pretty good with a sippy (we never did the bottle with her) but once the drink is almost gone she starts tippin’! this looks awesome!
I would love the nail file to use on my 10 month old, she would love the sippy cup as she refuses to drink from a regular sippy cup, only a cup with a straw or a plain cup, which we have to hold. this sippy cup would enable her to be more independent.
I have a 21 month old that would LOVE the cups
I have a 10 month old & a 2 year old who scream bloody murder when I cut their nails. I just have to have that nail file. My quality of life will be so much improved.
ohh and I have #2 OTW, so the nail file just might be handy to have
I would love love love the snack containers! I have two toddlers (2 1/2, and 1 1/2 and a two week old). Will be doing the snack thing for a LOOOOOOONG time! I love both of the other products you showcased also, so what a fun giveaway! Thank you!
I have an 11 month old and would love any of these, especially the cup and the snack containers.
I could really use the cup. My twins speech therapist recommended we use a straw cup but they’re so confused and are always tipping it towards themselves and they get so frustrated when nothing comes out. The electric nail file, although kinda scary sounding, does sound like it could be really useful. I bite my own nails and dread cutting my kids. I usually wait for my MIL to come to cut them.
My daughter just turned 2 years would love the sippy cup!
Thanks for the chance at such awesome products.
would LOVE the sippy cup! straws are definitely the way to go vs. the standard “sippy”.
These are great products…(thinking) I’ll have to choose the sippy cup! Thanks for the chance
I have a 14 month old who hates to get his nails clipped, so I would love the clipper! (Honestly though, I want them both!!
I would love to have the nail file, for sure!
They both sound like wonderful items to have but I think my little one would love using the cup. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve got an 18month old who thinks he can do everything his 3 1/2 year old brother can do, including drinking out of a straw while holding the cup himself. The cup sure sounds ingenious. We’d love to try it.
Thanks!
We have a 13 month old and nail trimming is a nightmare. We are lucky to get a nail a day, so anything to get all the nails to a manageable length sounds wonderful!
I would love the nail file for my squirmy 13 month old who thinks I’m hurting him every time I try to cut his nails and therefore almost gets hurt b/c he won’t stay still! A nail file would be easier. The cup would also be great since he already drinks out of straws.
I have 6 month old twin boys. I must admit..I’ve become a pro at baby nail clipping…so the sippy cup sounds amazing. Thanks for bringing this brand and these products to my attention
Would love to try out the straw cup. I think Gumi’s going straight from boob to sippy cup at this point, so the straw cup sounds intriguing.
My son is 4.5 years old and I haven’t cut his nails once!!! (my husband is doing it, I know, it is embarassing but I am too scared). I would love to try the nail file with my new baby girl.
I have a 3 month old, 2 yr old and 4 yr old _snack cups- Thanks_
I would love the nail file. First, my husband clips the dogs nails and to promote cooperative parenting, he and I share responsibilites – so baby boy’s nails (8 months) is my deal (or ordeal). He is our first, so the first time we clipped his nails, I cut off part of the skin at the end of his finger and stayed the next TWO plus hours on the floor with him while we tried to stop the bleeding. I pleaded with my husband not to take him to the hospital for them to stop it. For all new parents out there – please take me out of my misery.
Wow! I love the idea of both of those items. I especially wish that I could have the nail file for my 6 month old’s nails which seem to grow into claws overnight.
I would love to try and win these 2 products for a dear friend of mine, who might as well as be my sister since we have known eachother since before grade school, that just had her first baby 2 days ago. He was born @ 36wks, is having a bit of difficulty keeping warm and nursing, but is just beautiful. The nail file would be a great gift for these first time parents, because we all know how scary it is to cut baby nails not just the first time, but each and every time we go to do it. Thanks so much for doing these giveaways. It is so awesome!!
Oh I would just love the nail file, I have a 4 month old and I am just so scarred to clip her nails. I now have to do it while she is sleeping as she is too wiggly and I’m always afraid I will wake her up. This sounds like the perfect answer! Thanks so much for doing givaways- this is really fantastic!
I have a new Granddaughter, our first! Wouldn’t it be great if Grandma could take these fabulous latest and greatest “tools” to new Mom and baby! They live in MN and Grandma lives in UT,
I’d like to try the cup! What a great idea! I’ve often thought that someone should have invented something for that exact problem! Way to go!
I’m about to deliver a surrogate for my DH’s cousin and his wife (end of October) and would love to surprise them with the nail clippers as they will definitely be nervous about clipping baby nails.
I would love to try the nail clippers for my 8 month old. They sippy cup would be great for my 3 year old. Thanks for sharing such innovative new products!
I love the straw cup!
The nail file sounds awesome! I am always so scared to clip my one year old daughter’s nails. She wiggles and squirms when I try and file them, anything that would make it easier would be welcome!
We have been using a straw sippy cup for a while, however, I have had to cut and make longer straws to reach the bottom of the cup. A longer straw that senses where the liquid is makes so much sense!
My daughter is young enough for the cup. I need to get her one. She has mastered the bottle and the sippy, so we need to graduate to the next level.
The nail file would make my life a whole lot easier! My 4 month old son leaves nasty scratch marks all over my arms, and sometimes on his face. I try to use a baby file, but end up making it worse! The nail clippers scare me; I’m so afraid I’ll cut his tiny little fingers.
I have a 6 month old who does not stop moving and a 2 year old who SCREAMS everytime we ATTEMPT to cut his nails… I say attempt because we are able to cut a nail a day and actually do cut one nail everyday. This is no joke. Whether its fingers or toes, we cut one nail a day because thats all he will allow us to do… needless to say, his nails are long and I never get a break from cutting them…
I would LOVE the Zo-Li nail file
The nail file sounds fabulous! This is an ongoing issue with both my baby and my toddler. I’ve used a regular nail file, and sometimes it works, other times they fight. It would be great to have something else in my arsenal.
i would love the nail file or the snack container!
I have the on the go snack containers and love them. I have a 13 month old and I would love either th nail file as she hates her nails clipped and cries when I do it. Or the sippy cup. Thanks for doing this contest giveaway.
Hi, I have a 7 week old and a 16 month old. When my 7 week old was a day old I tried cutting her nails and made her bleed and have only cut them one time since then and make her where mitts all the time. Her nails are long but they are attached to the skin so it causes blood blisters and I don’t want to hurt her. The nail file seems like it would solve my problem and would love to wine this giveaway. I also have trouble cutting my 16 month old because she is so busy and constantly pulling away. Please consider me for this giveaway.
Everything sounds exciting from the convention…
I would love to try out the straw cup with both of my boys (15 months and 32 months)!
I would love the sippy cup or the snack container. seriously, such cute products and practical to boot!:) thanks letsgostrolling!!
Did I miss this??? I have a 21 month old and a newborn! Oh I hope I didn’t miss this — LOVE both items!! PERFECT!
This is soooo cool. Love these.
I have a 5 month old that loves to waive his hands and jump all the time, so cutting his nails is a real challenge. I’d love the nail file.
Both my 8 month and 22 month old girls do not care for nail clipping, so I’d love to try that! The cup looks fantastic, too.
I NEED the nail file for my 9 month old Ava, every other day I use a baby file, because I am afraid to cut them! I am all scratched up from her scratching me!!
I really could use the nail file, that is such a great idea. No more painfully small nail clippers! I think the snack cups are a great idea as well.
I would LOVE the nail file. I am a disaster parent when it comes to clipping my 11 month old son’s nails. I am terrified!
I would love to get the cup! My 13-month old is not crazy about sippys; we have several different brands, but they either flow too fast when she tips them up, or she doesn’t like the suck. She’s still on sippy-like nipples.
The nail file would be awesome too though. It’s a challenge to trim her fast-growing nails when she’s awake because she wants to try to grab the clipper from me, or she just won’t hold still enough, and it’s at least as hard to do when she’s asleep because she can wake easily, or I just can’t see well enough to be sure I won’t hurt her.
Thanks for doing the giveaway!
I have a 4 year old and a one year old. All their products sound cool! They have some pretty ingenious people working for them! I would be thankful to have any of them.
I would so love to have the nail file!
