When Valco let us know that they were releasing an updated edition of their wildly popular Twin Trimode with an additional “zip-to-extend” canopy panel – we were psyched!
The canopy size is a big decision factor for many parents these days. Whether families live in warm, always-sunny climates, or just face bright summer days, more and more people are worried about sun protection for their little ones. We’ve always felt like the Valco Strollers had a good canopy, but in comparison to the BOB Duallie Revolution sun canopy or the Baby Jogger City Elite canopies, we admit it definitely didn’t give the most complete coverage.
Apparently Valco does listen to its retailers and customers – the result in in their new Twin Trimode EX (for extended canopy) line. Now available and shipping from Let’s Go Strolling in Stone, Pistachio, and Brilliant Black – you can have the consistent great push of the Valco with a fabulous new canopy design.
Well our Twin Trimode EX floor model in the Stone color just arrived and we were so excited to see the change in person. We snapped a few quick pictures to show you just how far the new canopy extends to the optional snack tray. It’s very easy to zip-out the canopy to fully extend or zip-it back in based on your children’s preference.
Any downsides? Well the top of the canopy measurement is slightly lower to allow for the zip-in extendable canopy. Whereas the old twin trimode seat back to canopy measured almost 26 inches, the newer Twin Trimode EX version only measures 24 inches. Given that the Valco seat back is already one of the tallest on the market, we don’t think this is too much to give up but we did want to let people know about the variation in this measurement between the model years.

I absolutely love this website for the awesome strollers and choices! The quality and design of a stroller are so important-shopping for one is pretty much the same as shopping for a family car
In our busy life we are pretty much “on the go” most of the time- and dragging the baby along wherever we go 
This is one of the reason why a stroller should be chosen wisely- in our family we went with UPPAbaby bassinet stroller that converts in a regular stroller (kind of grows with your baby). When our baby was born and up to about 4 months we were using the stroller with bassinet (I could go shopping, appointments- he was always so comfortable, just like sleeping in his crib and it is much better option then sleeping in a car seat), and now we use the stroller as a regular one , also we have a attached a special part on the back of the stroller so our toddler can ride along. We love the simplicity and how functional the stroller is. And so glad strollers like this are now more popular in the USA.
