We wanted to give myMonkeymoo a congratulatory shout out for the fabulous rave write-up of their stroller pads in the Daily Candy yesterday!  Besides being a company with awesome service (which we always love and appreciate), myMonkeymoo has fabulous products that customers keep raving about!

myMonkeymoo designs fabulous stroller pads and stroller blankets.  One side has an stylish print of your choice while the other sides has super soft minky fabric that kids and adults alike love to touch.  While we always feature new products on our website that we personally love, we’re even more excited when our customers rave about them too and keep coming back for more!

Why a stroller pad you might ask?

A strollerpad has 3 great advantages.  First of all, it is a super cute way to dress up a stroller with a fun pattern.  Many people shy away from buying strollers with blue or pink/purple for the obvious reason that their next child might be of a different gender.  Adding a myMonkeymoo stroller pad to a gender neutral stroller can be a fun way to add that flash of pink or blue without committing your whole stroller to a certain gender.

Secondly, for those of us with kids that spit-up frequently or later, spill food frequently, a stroller pad that is easy to throw in the wash, can be kept clean so your stroller stays in beautiful condition.  This also avoids the event where your stroller start to smell of 3 week old milk from that sippy cup that wasn’t quite latched properly.

Lastly, whether your climate is warm or cold, you can swap which side of your stroller pad you child is sitting on and they always have a bit of additional cushioning and, if you want it, warmth.  Many parents worry about putting their newborn directly in a stroller and that it won’t be cozy enough.  A myMonkeyMoo stroller pad is a great way to provide stylish cushioning that you and your child will love well through toddlerhood.

Don’t you have a stroller that could just use a little more fun?

BabyMel AmandaI’m a very picky diaper bag person.  Although there are a lot of very functional and practical diaper bags on the market, I am always looking for a little bit more!  When I saw the new BabyMel Amanda Diaper Bag, however, I loved it from the start.

Not only is the pattern stunning, a chocolate background with rich color accents, but this bag just has it all in terms of function as well.  It has an adjustible shoulder strap which is great for making it hang just how you like it.  It also has these super easy to access side pockets, perfect for bottle/sippy cup/cell phone storage.  The interior is light colored and well organized with side pockets/ zippered pockets making it easy to find what you want fast.  No more black hole diaper bag effect!

The Amanda also has additional exterior pockets to keep your keys or changing pad ready to go at a moment’s notice.  Another plus, an easy to wipe down exterior for those unexpected spills.  Best all of, for all your super practical types (who know who you are), this bag does not scream diaper bag.  That means long after your little one is out of diapers, you might still find yourself grabbing your BabyMel Amanda bag and filling it with snacks and necessities for a day out.

At a price point of $88, this bag is hard to beat for beauty and value!

rickisroom120×240.jpgOkay I have to admit, I have had 3 kids and had an epidural each time , for one reason or another. Although my goal was initially a drug-free childbirth, I was lucky and just blessed with three healthy children instead.

That being said (admitted), I still really loved the idea behind the movie documentary, the Business of Being Born that was produced by Ricki Lake.

I think it is a very honest look at birthing in America today and the advantages and and some of disadvantages we suffer due to the very hospitalized birthing process for the majority of Americans. I believe there is a very real time and place for OB/Gyns and the lifesaving work they do and I think that this movie allows for that.  It also gives an honest assessment of what we give up by cutting midwives out of the mainstream medical system in most places in the US.

Let’s Go Strolling is proud to be a sponsor of Ricki’s Room - a blog and message board arena on the web where pregnant woman, their partners, anyone can go to educate themselves or others about possible birthing options. The message boards don’t stop there! As a resource to the thousands of women using this board, there are also forums on products/gear (like strollers - our personal favorite!)

Let’s Go Strolling is giving away one “The Business of Being Born” DVD to a lucky Strolling Along blog reader. Send us an email to (info@letsgostrolling.com) with your full name and State and we’ll enter you automatically. Winners will be announced at the end of August so hurry and enter now!

Last year to increase the popularity of their Phil and Ted’s Sport Buggy, Phil and Ted’s developed the Double Your Buggy For Free Promotion where you would get a free doubles kit/toddler seat with the purchase of a qualifying Sport Buggy.  These strollers which were packaged with the free toddler seat sold out fast.

Now in an effort to promote the release of their newest stroller combo- the Phil and Ted’s Dash Buggy, Phil and Ted’s is once again offering this promotion.  While supplies last you can now purchase a Phil and Ted’s Dash Buggy packaged with a matching doubles kit.  This is great news for all of you who were hoping to make the leap and try the new Dash Buggy.

For $549.95 you can have your double stroller in the upgraded Dash version for just $40 more than the Sport Buggy with toddler seat.  What is the difference you ask?  The Dash buggy has upgrade plusher padding, a bigger canopy and basket, an easier recline system, and a unique handlebar break system.
