Looking for the hottest new double? WE HAVE IT!

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

DUOWalker SKYEasyWalker, the brilliant dutch stroller company that brough the award-winning EasyWalker Classic to the market - is ready for their newest release - the DUOWalker Sky.  The DuoWalker SKY revolutionizes the doubles market by bringing together many of the features parents are clamouring for in an all-terrain stroller that is lighter than all the rest.

Most of the high quality all-terrain doubles that are currently on the market weigh in between 34-36 lbs but have the push and manueverability parents love - whether in the mall or for long outdoors walks.   Now the NEW DUOWalker SKY brings these same features to parents at only 30lbs - the same as the “lightweight” Maclaren Twin Traveller!  That’s a fact many parents will find hard to resist.

The DuoWalker SKY not only features the same rugged air tires (2 in the front swivel for easy manueverability), height-adjustible handlebar, generous basket, individual newborn reclines, and easy collapse - but you also have the option to put one or two Newborn Carrycots on either side of the stroller to make it the perfect ride for twins or siblings of different ages.

Plus with the fabulous trademark EasyWalker colors - you can have fun with your stroller and get the look that is just right for you!

Yummm…candy…

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

So, it is a little known fact but those of us at Let’s Go Strolling love not only baby gear, but candy! In fact, we are totaly candy, especially chocolate, freaks. So, when a good friend of mine told me about a book all about candy, how could I resist? So, I’m now 1/3 of the way through Candyfreak: A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America and am loving every bite - I mean bit. This isn’t a book about the history of candy - more a book about one man’s true obsession and desire to learn more about the “little guys” in the great big world that is candy. Either way, I’m enjoying the ride and desperately trying to not track down every type of obscure candy mentioned!

Babymel Camille

How beautiful is this bag?!

Straight from the UK, the Babymel Camille bag is on its way across the pond to Let’s Go Strolling. This bag has it all and yet doesn’t look like a diaper bag - even for a second! The Camille has plenty of room for everything that you want to tote along - two insulated zip bottle pockets, five elastisized large storage pockets and a zipped pocket to keep all your mommy valuables. Both the interior and exterior can be wiped clean and an adjustable shoulder strap round out this new hot bag. So if you are ready to be a cutting edge mom, it’s time to own the hottest bag on the block.

Bzzzz. .. Here’s the Scoop

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

Okay, the questions have kept coming ever since our Bugaboo BeeBugaboo blog entry.  What is this new arrival and when is it coming?  Well we have answers. . .

The Bee is out of the bag!  The new Bugaboo Bee is due out in September and it is a more compact reversible seat stroller that has the following fabulous features:

  • - Folds in one piece with seat forward facing OR rear facing
  • - There will be a black seat with choice of 5 colored generous canopies - yellow, black, red, blue and olive
  • - Height adjustable handlebar
  • - Moveable footrest for newborn to toddler age
  • - Accessible basket
  • - Lightweight -weighs around 20 lbs
  • - Fabulous one-handed Bugaboo push
  • - VERY compact fold - perfect for travel or parents on-the-go
  • - MSRP is $529

While the Bee is definitely not a replacement for your Cameleon (no air tires, handle does not reverse), it is the answer for anyone looking for a Bugaboo that is easier to travel with or better for car errands and a mall shopping lifestyle.

Bugaboo plans to release an optional newborn bassinet, carrycot, breezy canopy and ride-along board to accompany it but these accessories might debut later than the September release date.

We’ve got ours on order with Bugaboo already. . . let us know if you want to put one on order for you as well!

The Micralite now has new lower prices and a Graco Adaptor

Saturday, April 14th, 2007

For those of you thinking about taking the plunge with the great lightweight Micralite strollers, now there are two more great reasons to do so!  Micralite just lowered it’s prices on the Fastfold FTS stroller as well as on the Fastfold stroller with carrycot/bassinet (newborn mode) to make it an even more affordable option for those looking for a lightweight, compact and streamlined option that still has air tires for a smooth ride.   Orginally $400 for the stroller and $300 for the carrycot - the Micralite FTS Fastfold is only $369, and the carrycot is now on sale for $210. . .a savings of over $120!

Micralite has also just released the accompanying Graco car seat adaptor making the Micralite a more flexible travel system than ever!  Many of our customers were wondering when Micralite would release this option and now here it is!  This makes the Micralite the perfect stroller to keep in the car for errands, travel and outings from Newborn through the preschool years.  Plus it is easier than ever to travel to visit Grandma with your new Micralite and carseat.

Time to write thank you notes again?

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Pirate cardWhether it is sitting down and making your child write thank you notes for all their Easter gifts, of if you are still dealing with your own thank you notes for new baby gifts (or the holidays. . . we know how it is with kids!), we have found the best website for you.  A Touch of Whimsy has unique personalized note cards, stationary, labels, or even their own adorable “Mommy Calling cards.”

These cards are adorable, clever, personalized and best of all they ship out quickly to you at an amazingly low price.  I searched their note card selection after someone recommended A Touch of Whimsy, and found the perfect pirate thank-you note for my son who had just had a pirate birthday party.  I ordered them, chose the font, design and gave his name and they arrived at my door 4 days later without even having to expedite shipping. . . how fabulous!  I was even able to put a return address on the envelopes to save myself one extra step - and believe me, as a busy mom of 2, I need all the “extra step savings” I can discover.

So the next time you want to make a great impression - without leaving a huge impression in your wallet - check out the Touch of Whimsy site and see strikes your fancy.

Spring Forward!

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Now that the first day of spring has arrived (March 21, 2007) and we are even into April (!) the weather is changing and we are all ready to spend some more time outside.  Many of us are getting our running shoes out of the closest and yearning to go for a great walk or run.  Once you get going though, do you actually know how far you have been?  How about when you aren’t even out there exercising?  Do you know how far you have gone?  StrollometerNow it is simple to figure it all out.

The Strollometer was invented by a mom who simply wanted to know, “how far have I gone?” when out strolling with her little ones.  Great concept…fantastic product!

The Strollometer simply attaches to your stroller and lets you know your speed, your maximum speed, average speed, trip distance, trip time, daily mileage, temperature and the actual time of day.  How great is this!?!  Now there is no more wondering about how far your daily walk is actually taking you and your little one and you can easily get that recommended 10,000 steps per day in. . . then again, you can also just know how much ice cream you can now eat given the length of your walk/run (grin!)
